1. what is slurry pump?
A slurry pump is a type of pump designed for pumping liquid containing solid particles. Slurry pumps changes in design and construction to adjust to multiple type of slurry which varies in concentration of solids, size of solid particles, shape of solid particles, and composition of solution. Slurry pump are more robust than liquid pumps; they have added sacrificial material and replaceable wear parts to withstand wear due to abrasion.

Feature
6x4E-GEM Slurry Pump is a single-stage, single-suction and horizontal heavy duty centrifugal slurry pump with a cantilever design, The 6x4 slury pumps are mainly used in solids containing applications. Depending on process conditions, equipment should be suitable for highly abrasive or corrosive liquids.
Design Features:
- Cylindrical structure of bearing assembly: convenient to adjust the space between impeller and front liner and can be removed completely.
- Interchangeable anti-abrasive wet parts made of high-chrome alloys.
- The discharge branch can be oriented to any eight positions at the interval of 45 degrees.
- Various drive types: DC (direct connection), V-belt drive, gear box reducer, hydraulic couplings, VFD, SCR control etc
- The shaft seal uses the packing seal, expeller seal and mechanical seal.

Material
Bearing assembly: A large diameter shaft with short overhang minimizes deflection and contributes to long bearing life. Only four through bolts are required to hold the cartridge type housing in the frame.
